Sanibel Update!

We have been enjoying Sanibel and it's beautiful weather (even the HUGE thunderstorm we had two nights ago which in fact gave us our alligator pond back!). I have SO enjoyed (as ALWAYS!) having our friend Kerry and her two kiddies Cole and Maya live with us while her husband Scott is in China with a medical mission team. I encourage you to read his blogs about their trip here: blog.showhope.org

Haas and Hasenbalg kids at Cheeburger!

lovin the pool everyday

boat ride at Sea School! (thanks Bruce! Even though it started to rain at the end and we began to freeze, almost literally)

We are also so blessed to have had Chris Moore and Luis from Alpha Relief come and visit us for a day while they were in Florida. It's always great to see Chris and it was so good to meet Luis. Hopefully I'll be able to meet his wife and six kids someday! I highly encourage you to check out their website- a stellar organization that would totally be awesome to be a part of! Check it out and be a part helping people who live in some of the hardest places on earth.

Tonight we were blessed yet again to have our good friend Tom Ramey from Texas and Moges Berassa from Ethiopia come and see us. When Dad and I went to Ethiopia two years ago, Tom was one of the guys on our team, and Moges was one of the people we visited there. He is the director of Young Life Ethiopia, which is ministering to about 15,000 high school students right now, and it's growing quickly! Praise the Lord for what He is doing through Young Life Africa and Young Life throughout the world!

One last thing... pray for this little wild one because this afternoon she gashed her head on the diving board while doing a flip! She's all stapled up now, so let's hope it heals quickly before she gets another injury! What would life be like without Mariah... she never allows for a dull moment!
