I can hardly believe that Easter is over and our time in Sanibel is getting closer to the end. One of the things that I really love about Sanibel is that it's a time when we are able to have a lot of friends come and visit. I am so thankful that Dan and Sarah (and Will, Hal, and Tristo), Anj and Jen, Jon, and Emily all made it down for Easter break this year! As our family grows and we all move in different directions, I know that we will seldom have the chance to all be together for vacations.

*Please note that my necklace is from Ethiopia, and I wore it in honor of Dan and Sarah's little girl, Minkesh, who is waiting for them to bring her home in a couple months!*
And here is our beach family picture! We have a tradition on Easter to take a boat/wave runner ride to a nearby island, North Captiva, with some good friends of ours. It was so fun to have the whole fam there!
Prokadima, best beach game
Neill, Murphy, and Haas fams! (Mom is behind the camera, thanks Mom :)

The week before Easter, the Young family, our friends from northern Virginia, came to visit for Spring Break. We don't get to see them often, so I'm super glad that they made it down! They are such a blessing to my family and SO much fun to have around! Definitely wish they didn't have to go back home, but we had a blast while it lasted.
We managed to get almost all of us together. We're only missing Mariah here, who thought it was necessary to lay in bed from a minor back injury while playing at the beach (really, she can't go long without being injured, can she?? She keeps us on our toes!) Also Anj, Jen, and Jon hadn't made it down yet... and of course Mom, who is always the voluntary photographer!

Their little girl, Story, is the cutest and definitely the happiest baby I've ever met! Love her!
Yes, we played a LOT of Ninjas... and never got tired of it.

And now everyone is back home, back to real life, to school, to work.... I'm back to running, Pilates, Spanish, Anatomy and Physiology.... all the fun stuff that I don't do on vacation!
I'm so grateful for my amazing friends and family, and although it's sad when vacation is over, I don't cry because it ended, I smile because it happened :) Though I don't really want to leave Sani, I look forward to what God has in store for me next and all the places He will lead me... and most definitely the next time we can get together with friends and family!
